Another week another upset

Besides the fact that Oregon State is going to rough up Arizona (not really an upset), Texas tech is going to have a game over Houston. On this night game the skies will light up with these two high powered offenses. I am picking Texas Tech because they know how to win a big game on a big stage. Look for big plays from Texas tech QB potts to win the game late 38-35!

Week Three Quack Quack

On the night of September 3rd, the entire nation watched as the Oregon Ducks crashed and burned. Chip Kelly's opening game looked nothing like anyone expected. Masoli and Blount Oregon's stars were shut down and Oregon was left with nothing but a memory. Saturday September 19th Chip Kelly's boys will shock the nation. With a defense lead win over Purdue, Oregon found a way to win. That needs to be Oregon's campain if they have hopes of a successful season. The Utah Utes hold a 16 game winning streak so they come in being the heavy favorites with 8 returning vamped defenders. Where Utah will faulter is their offense. The Utes offense only scored 24 points on San Jose st., where freshman Matt Barkley in his first start lit up the field for 56. The first half two physical defensives will display their stuff. But Saturday junior quarterback Jeremiah Masoli will come to play. This Oregon offense is to fast and to talent filled to be contained for four quarters. During the Boise St. game Masoli drove the Ducks down the field for one successful score, and it looked phenominal. Sorry Utes the sleeping Ducks are going to awake with a roar. With the Ducks having a huge 2nd half surge they will win 31-17.

Shoutout to OSU

I gotta give props to the Oregon State Beavers for pulling out the ugly win over UNLV. Justin Kahut came up big after lacking to perform with his missed field goal and extra point. Yet still i stay unimpressed with Sean Canfield, I love his big league arm but he seems too timid in big parts of the game. Too many dump routes he threw too when he has the big arm to hit open recievers down field. I stand by the notion that Ryan Katz should play, I strongly believe he is the future of Beaver nation and we need to get him game experience. With both Rodgers brothers healthy a simple roll would be perfect to give the future start for the Beavers game time experience. Congrats on the win but get ready for a game that can catapult us into the Pac-10 season.

Michigan's Tate Forcier for Heisman

Not only did i call that upset but i was witness to one of the most amazing games ever. In honor of Boise St. Charlie Wise ran a "statue of liberty" play. Michigan controlled most the game but Clausen led the Fighting Irish to a strong second half to take the lead late in the game. Charlie Wise called a controversial play call late in the game to stop the clock. With just over two minutes left Michigan QB Tate Forcier had a Heisman like performance to retake the lead and the win for Michigan. I loved the courage and athleticism from Forcier and am excited about this TRUE freshman future!!!

Respect to Jeter

To anyone that knows me, they know i am a huge Boston Red Sox fan. But today Derek Jeter broke a record that has to be given great respect. Derek Jeter has always been the quiet leader of the Yankees. Jeter everyday leaves everything on the field, and it shows. One of the most respectable players to ever play in between the white lines of Yankee Stadium. My hats off to you today sir, because tomorrow you return in my heart as a rival.

Clausen or Bust

Saturday Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the Michigan Wolverines. The Fighting Irish are the favorite but for them to win in Michigan takes a Heisman like performance from their Quarterback Jimmy Clausen. He threw for 315 yards and 4 touchdowns at home against a less than stellar Nevada defense. The finger is going to be readily pointed at Clausen, but it is my belief that this game comes down to the Irish offensive line. They need to control the line of scrimmage or else it will be a long day for the Irish hopeful. For Clausen to be effective Notre Dame will need to establish the run early or else Clausen will get no time in the pocket. I do not see Notre Dame going in to Michigan and pulling this one out. I take Michigan 24-20!
